"Time out for Tech" time is back, with this fall's event planned for the Ozark campus, 9-to-noon October 21 and 22nd and October 28th on the Russellville campus.  Russellville campus events will begin that morning at 9:30 a/m.  More information is available at arkansastechnews-dot-com.

Hector Wildcat football celebrates its 50th anniversary this week, with a big game planned for Friday night at Linton Field.  Former team members, coaches and football families and fans are invited to be a part of the fun.   Coordinators are also hopeful that as many members as possible of the 1975 team will return for Friday's ceremonies.  Get further details by following the Hector Public Schools Facebook page.

Pope County Senior Wellness and Activity Center will have their 18th  Annual "Burgerfest" on Friday, October 3rd at their facility on North  Rochester St, just off Russell Road.  Burgers, cobbler & ice cream, then,  fellowship and entertainment will follow.  A live band will be on hand  this year to help celebrate.  Hours will be from 4:30 to 6:30.  Come  hungry, leave happy and Make a difference!!!

Hector Scholarship Foundation has the annual Fall Gala planned for  Saturday, October 4th, and tickets are now available.  For a decade, the  Foundation has been providing scholarships for graduating seniors,  awarding a total of 74 during that time.  Your support is needed and  appreciated.  Contact Jimmy Stroud at 280-4457 for additional information.

October 4th is the date for "Oktoberfest" at St. John's Lutheran Church.   Bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad and much more, it's all  there... Meals are 15-dollars/adults, 10-dollars/tech students and 5- dollars for kids, under 5-eat free.  This is a cash only event.  Games and  entertainment.  Hours will be 4 to 6. Proceeds will go to support "Sharing  and Caring" and St. John's Lutheran Church.

Atkins Heritage Festival is set for October 4th on the grounds of Atkins  Church of the Assumption.  Events kick off that morning with a breakfast  from 8:30 to 10:30 and festival events from 10:30 till 4.  Food, games,  music and more, admission is free.  Funds from this event are split  between the church and efforts to restore the historic Atkins Razorback  sign.  All are invited.
