Yell County has a busy 4th of July planned.  At Mount Nebo State Park, 9  a/m Friday; its a bicycle parade with watermelon available after the  event.

Then, that evening, Dardanelle Mayor Jimmy Witt invites everyone to join in the fun, with food, music, and fireworks! Grab a bite from  Kathy's Kabana Food Truck, enjoy live tunes by Sam Sparks starting at  8:00 p.m., and stick around for our Firework Show at 9:15 p.m. (or when  it's dark!).

Danville Aquatic Center will be open on the 4th of July and admission will be free that day from noon-till-5 p/m.

New Blaine Fire Department is getting ready for a big "July 4th in the Park" event.  A pancake breakfast, Little Miss and Mr firecracker Pageants, fire truck rides, food vendors, plenty of entertainment and a huge fireworks display are planned.

July 8th is the date for this year's Danville Area Chamber of Commerce banquet.  The event to be held at the Chamberlyne Country Club, will recognize and honor several individuals and organizations for their efforts over the past year.  The "Chamber Member of the Year" and the Citizen of the Year will also be introduced.  Additional details will be available soon on the Danville Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

2025 POPE COUNTY 4-H POULTRY CLINIC... will be at the Pope County Fairgrounds on July 11, 2025, from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Each member is allowed to bring one bird. The following topics will be covered: showmanship, daily care, and nutrition.  Get further details by checking the Pope County 4-H Youth Development Facebook page.

Danville's new Putt Putt Golf Course is complete and ready for play!! Area residents are invited to "Come on down and play a round on the new course.  Mayor Bill Gilkey reminds that everything you need to play is provided and it is completely free.

Local Quilt Artists have hung beautiful quilts in the River Valley Arts Center gallery during their June show.  Near the presentation's end, a reception party is planned for Saturday,  June 28th at 6pm - 8pm. Free to the public.  All are invited.

Russellville's Boots & Badges Community Blood Drive is  happening TODAY from 12:30–6:30 PM in the Hughes Community Center  Gym!!  A friendly competition between Firefighters and Police,  and Let's be real, the RFD & RPD need YOU to help bring home the  win. Donate blood. Save lives. All donors get a Boots & Badges  T-shirt (while supplies last) and a shot at a Magic Springs pass!
