2021 Downtown Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff  T-shirts are in! These will be sold for $12 at the information booth in front of the Russellville Train Depot this Saturday. This shirt was designed by Arkansas Tech University student Erica H. and printed by Mullen Team Sports & Screenprinting in Russellville Downtown.

The Yell and Scott County Cooperative Extension Service along with the Arkansas State Plant Board will host an Abandoned Pesticide Collection on November 3rd from 9am to noon at the Dutch Creek Fire Department located at 17334 AR-80, Danville, AR 72833.  This service is free and discreet.  Any old, outdated pesticides or pesticides that you just don't want anymore may be dropped off.  All information will be confidential.  Please contact the Extension office for more details. Russellville Airport will play host on November 6th to a Fly-In event that Saturday from 11 a/m till 2 p/m.  Coordinators say hot dogs, chili and soft drinks will be served and aircraft competitions are planned.  Get further details at City of Russellville-airport on Facebook.

Arkansas Tech's Department of Campus Life is seeking names, contact information and street addresses for elderly individuals in the Russellville community who would like to participate in the 2021 ATU Green and Gold Give Back day of service.  University students will be raking leaves, free of charge on Saturday, November 6th.  Individuals interested in receiving assistance this volunteer community service project can call 968-0276.

The Russellville Recreation and Parks Department in partnership with MainStreet Russellville will have the 2021 KidsFest at the annual Downtown Fall Fest.  The event will be held Saturday, October 30 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Arkansas River Valley Arts Center's "Chili Bowl and Silent Auction" event has been rescheduled for November 13th.  The upcoming event will include a chili dinner donated by Brangus; with a large variety of toppings, adult beverage dessert and a hand-crafted pottery bowl.  A silent auction is also planned that evening.  Get further details at the River Valley Arts Center Facebook page.

The L.V. Williamson Boys and Girls Club of Russellville will play host in early November to the annual "Mistletoe Market, fund raiser for the club.  Set for November 4th and 6th, the effort; in its 14th year, involves a variety of vendors from throughout the valley and across the state.  Christmas gift and decorating ideas will fill the center for the run of the event.  Proceeds from the fund raiser make a difference throughout the year, acting as a foundation for a number of important club projects.  Get further information by going to the "Mistletoe Market" Facebook page...
