First Assembly of God Church in Russellville is hosting a community conversation about mental health and suicide prevention Sunday, January 9th, 2022 from 2pm until 4pm. Evidence-based mental health classes will be available for 7th grade through 12th grades, college students, as-well-as parents and educators, and lead by trained volunteers from the Arkansas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

In collaboration with the Clarksville Police Department, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the Lamar Police Department and Coal Hill, "Turn Yourself in Tuesday" will happen on Tuesday, DECEMBER 21st, 2021 at the Courtroom for District 7 - State District Court in Clarksville. The Judge and Court Clerks will be on hand 12-21 to help you get back on track without the fear of being arrested. If you have a misdemeanor warrant and turn yourself in on this date from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. you will be served your warrant and issued a court date, NO BOND REQUIRED.

Ozark Rape Crisis Center is have a Christmas Gift Wrapping fund raiser in Clarksville through Thursday, December 23rd. Gifts will be wrapped for 3-dollars for a small, $4 for a medium gift and $5-dollars for a large. Boxes are provided and the center has a large selection wrapping paper, ribbons and bows. Gifts can be dripped off at 715 West Main in Clarksville will be ready the following day. All proceeds will go to assist the center in their support efforts.
