Have you been craving some catfish?  How about hushpuppies, baked, beans, cole slaw, and lemon meringue pie to chase it down?  Plan on picking up lunch from the Johnson County Senior Activity Center on Friday, January 7th.  $5 if you are 60 or older; otherwise $7. First Assembly of God Church in Russellville is hosting a community conversation about mental health and suicide prevention Sunday, January 9th, 2022 from 2pm until 4pm. Evidence-based mental health classes will be available for 7th grade through 12th grades, college students, as-well-as parents and educators, and lead by trained volunteers from the Arkansas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Are you ready to be Bold and Get Cold???  The 10th  Annual Polar Plunge for Area 17 Special Olympics will be held February 5,  2022 at Lake Dardanelle State Park in Russellville. *Plunge registration will be that morning at 10:30 a.m. , with a Costume Parade and Awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m.  The Plunge takes place at Noon..
