Every year, people across Arkansas jump into freezing cold water to support Special Olympics. Lake Dardanelle State Park will play will host the River Valley Polar Plunge for 2022, rescheduled for this Saturday at 10:30… By plunging with us, participants help bring opportunity and inclusion to Special Olympics individuals and young athletes across the state. Northeast Yell County Water Association's February Board Meeting is set for Thursday.  A 6 p/m start time is planned at the association headquarters on State Hwy 22 West in Dardanelle.

Russellville Recreation and Parks Commission meeting scheduled for this Thursday has been cancelled.  Their next session is set for March 10th.

A February 11th reschedule date has been set for the Wesley Foundation of Russellville's Age 2 Age "Chili for Children" event to be held at their headquarters on North El Paso Street.  Hours for the effort will be 11 to 1 p/m.  8-dollars at the door gets you a meal of chili, fixins and treats.  All proceeds assist the Age 2 Age program.

The Dover band program's "Cannonball Classic" disc golf doubles Tournament is set for Saturday, February 12th.  Recreational and advanced divisions will compete in a two round/36 hole event to be played at Pleasant View and Old Post Parks.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each tier.  Get further details at the Dover Bands-Midnight Brigade Facebook page...
