The "Jesse Boshears Medical Fund" group is hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 27 from 12 p.m. until 12 a.m. at the Perryville High School Football Field. Local singer, Jason Campbell will be singing the entire time from the back of his truck. The group hopes to raise $12,000 to benefit Boshears' transfer soon to Baylor's St. Luke's Hospital in Houston for specialized treatment. Boshears, a Perryville native was diagnosed with COVID last summer, right before he was about to start football practice with Arkansas Tech and remains in Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

Pottsville School District's February School Board Meeting will meet next Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the High School Library.

A new PTSD support group is being formed at the Rogers-Rye VFW Post 2283 on North Arkansas in Russellville. The group plans on meeting on Saturday's at 3:30 p/m. Those needing further information can call 968-4864.
