The Pope County Clean-up is underway this week.  County Judge Ben Cross reminds the dates for the event will be Monday thru Thursday, April 29th to May 2nd.  Items can be taken that week, during business hours; to the County Shop, located next door to the Detention Center for disposal.  Check with the County Judge's office for a list of items that can not be accepted.

River Valley United Way is ready for "HAVANA NIGHTS 2024".  Is set for FRIDAY, JUNE 7 at the "Meadow on the Mountain" event center.  And, tickets are on sale now.  This fund raiser for United Way will include good food, drink and some casino fun. DJ Dance will also be there and live music by Studio Galvez is planned under the stars.  Need further details, check the River Valley United Way Facebook page.

The 2024 Picklefest Pageants will be held May 11th at the Atkins High School Auditorium starting at 4 p.m. Entry deadline is May 3. Online registration is open for their 2024 ATU Football Golf Tournament set for early May. The program is also accepting team and hole sponsorships for the event.
