Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce's 11th annual "Chocolate Festival" is set for Friday, July 19th. McGee Community Center will play host to the event from 5 p/m to 7 p/m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for a minimum donation of 10-dollars. Funds from the event are set aside to help a family in need. This year theme is "Chocolate Safari". River Valley Boys and Girls Club Flag Football registration is now open! The league is open to boys & girls going into Kindergarten through 5th grade. Practices will start the week of August 26th and the season will end in early November. Parents and players can expect a 1-3 day a week commitment. Pope County fairgrounds will play host July 24th to an ARVAC Emergency food assistance program distribution. Hours for the event will be from 10 till 12-noon. Russellville Kiwannis Club will again sponsor an early August free "Back 2 School Swim" at the Hickey Park Pool. The event is for youth kindergarten to 12-grade, and will be held Saturday August 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30 p/m. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and bottled water will also be served.
