Tuesday, August 6th is the date the next Pope County Historical Association meeting. Margaret Motley and Kara Bowers from the Potts Inn Museum will be the featured speakers.  A 6 p.m. start time is planned at Western Sizzlin', the business meeting gets underway at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m. For more information, please call 479-858-1351.

A few Russellville High School school year reminders... Comupter pick-up, id creation and parking permits will be available for seniors on Monday, August 12th from 10 to 3.  For juniors, Tuesday; August 13th from 10 to 3. And, for sophomores on Wednesday, August 14th from 10 to 3.  New student orientation will be Thursday, August 15th from 5 to 5:30 p/m.  And, open house at RHS is set for Thursday, August 15th from 5:30 to 7 p/m.

Center Valley Elementary and Sequoyah Elementary families are  invited to "Popsicles with your new Principal".  Stop by and meet new  principals at Sequoyah and Center Valley Elementary schools Tuesday,  August 6, 2024 from 5:30-6:30 p.m! Back to school time is just ahead, and Hector Public School has their  Open House planned for Thursday, August 8th, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.   Get further details by contacting the district at 284-2021.

Danville Freewill Baptist Church will host a revival August 5th thru  9th.  Three speakers will be associated with this event.  Services will  start nightly at 7 p/m.

Hector's annual "Alumni Banquet" has been scheduled for Saturday, August  3rd, in the school's cafeteria.  Doors will open at 5 p/m and the meal  will be served at 6 p/m.  This year's event will be sponsored by the  Class of 1974.

The CARTI Center in Russellville is the location the first Thursday of  each month for a cancer survivor support group from 3 to 4 p/m.  Local  resident Jane Pittman will be your host.  Sessions will also feature a  variety of guest speakers.  The group is open to all cancer patients.
