December 14th is the date for the annual "Ron  Peters Memorial Toy Run" in Russellville.  A  car/motorcycle parade and show and chili cook- off are always a part of this event, to gather  toys for needy families during the holiday  season.  Cash donations are also accepted.   Search Ron Peters Memorial Toy Run on Facebook  for further details.

The University of Arkansas Community College at  Morrilton invites the community to its annual  Night of Luminaries on Thursday, December  Fifth, following the Conway County Christmas  Parade. The campus will be lined with more than  two-thousand luminary bags decorated by Conway County children.

Float entries continue for the Dardanelle Christmas Parade and will be accepted through Dece,ber 4th.  This year's parade is set for Friday, December 6th at 6:30 p/m.  Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce will also again this year have their "Make a Difference" canned food drive, as a part of the parade.  Get further details by following the Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Another "Our Blood Institute" drive is jus  ahead.  Wednesday and Thursday, the bloodmobile will be  back at ATU from 10:30 to 3:30 p/m.  Give the  "Gift of Life" and that is blood, during an  "Our Blood Institute" drive.

The Hughes Community Center will be closed Thursday, November 28, Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30 for observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Cabin Creek Baptist Church/Lamar will have a  free Thanksgiving meal available to those in  need on Friday, November 22nd.  Hours for the  event will be from 4 to 6:30 p/m at the church,  1121 West Main Street.

The Arkansas Tech University Office of Alumni  Relations will host an event entitled "Pictures  with Santa and Jerry the Bulldog" from 4-7 p.m.  Friday, Dec. 6.  The event will take place in  the Hull Building Student Union.

The CADDIS Fly Fishing Club, the Russellville  Recreation and Parks Department and the  Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) are  again partnering to bring seasonal trout  fishing to Russellville. The AGFC will stock  Pleasant View Park pond with 800 rainbow trout.  TROUT DAY 2024 will be held on Saturday,  December 7, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. till noon.
