January 9th is the deadline for applying for the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship.  Its a one time 500-dollar scholarship offered to a Dardanelle student for college/university of trade school.  A short interview may also be required a a part of the application.  Get further details by contacting the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce.

Another "Our Blood Institute" blood drive is just ahead. Wednesday, January 8th; Arkansas Nuclear One will be a donation location from 1:30 to 4:30 p/m.  And, also that day; Pope County's Sheriff office will have their "Bleed Blue" event from 1:30 p/m to 6:30 p/m.  Give the "Gift of Life" at an Our Blood Institute event near you soon.
