Another "Our Blood Institute" drive is just ahead. Monday: Millard-Henry Clinic/Russellville will play host to the bloodmobile from 11 to 3:30. On Wednesday and Thursday; Arkansas Tech/Russellville campus will be a donation location. Wednesday from 10 till 3, and Thursday from 10 to 2. Friday: Cogswell Motors/Russellville will host the bloodmobile from 10:30 to 3. Give the "Gift of Life" and that is blood, during an "Our Blood Institute" drive near you soon.

The monthly meeting of the River Valley Cancer Support Group will be held this Thursday, February 6th at the CARTI Center in Russellville from 3 till 4. This event is hosted each month by Jane Pittman. All are invited.

River Valley Runners will host their next race this Saturday, February 8th at 9 a/m. The "Valentine 5-K" starts and finishes at Russellville Junior High. On line registration is underway at "Run Signup" for 30-dollars, and continues until February 6th at midnight. A 35-dollar same day registration will also occur the morning of the race at 7:30.

Lake Dardanelle State Park will host a basket weaving workshop on February 8th, beginning at 9 a/m. Cost is 40- dollars. The park also is planning a "Dutch Oven Workshop" on Saturday, March 29th. Get further details at 967-5516.

CASA of the 5th District is now accepting nomination for the 3rd annual Cheryl Coleman Award, honoring outstanding child advocated in the district. Nomination will be accepted until March 1st. Follow their Facebook page for further details.
