REMINDERS: DAV Chapter 27/Russellville is getting ready for its 75th Anniversary celebration  on April 19th.  The event will include a motorcycle "Poker Run" that morning, with  an observance to follow at 10:30 a/m at Veterans Park on Lakefront Drive.   Entertainment, food and fun, will be just a part of the effort.

Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Russellville will hold its annual Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 20th.  The service will include a sermon, special music and communion.  It will be the only worship service that day. The church is located at 224 South Independence, at the corner of West Second Street and South Independence.

Russellville Nursing and Rehab have an Easter Egg Hunt planned for Friday, April 18th from 3-to-6 at their 215 S. Portland facility in Russellville.

You are invited to participate in the Great American Cleanup at Lake Dardanelle State Park on April 19th, where you can help pick up trash while exploring off-trail terrain. Park interpreter will lead the hike.  It all gets underway at 2 p/m.

Easter Sunrise Service will be held again this year atop Mount Nebo.  Arkansas Tech's Wesley Foundation will conduct the service, under the direction of Pastor John Palmer and State Park staff.  A 6:30 a/m start time this Sunday is planned inside the  large CCC pavilion.  Call 229-3650 for additional details.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 5–9, and it's a great chance to show our gratitude to the educators who make a difference every day.
Dardanelle Middle School is putting together door prizes to help celebrate their staff, and they're looking for local individuals and businesses willing to donate items. If you'd like to contribute, please contact Julie Stokes at 479-229-4575.

The River Valley "Spring Shopapalooza" to supports 'Toys for Tots" locally is coming up for May 2nd and 3rd at the Russellville Hughes Community Center.  9 to 5 both days, free admission as you shop with over 45 local crafters.  Get further details and vendor information by calling 886-0382.
