The City of Lamar will have their Independence Day  Fireworks show this Saturday, June 28th, with lots of park  activities planned.  The city's volunteer fire department will  also be having 5-dollar hot dogs and 6-dollar hamburgers meals,  to include chips and drink.  Get further details by following the  City of Lamar Facebook page.

New Blaine Fire Department is getting ready for a big "July 4th in the Park" event.  A pancake breakfast, Little Miss and Mr firecracker Pageants, fire truck rides, food vendors, plenty of entertainment and a huge fireworks display are planned.

A Friday, July 18th date has been set for the 12th Annual "Chocolate Festival" coordinated by the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce.  This year's theme "Sports, Sweet Victory: One bite at a Time".  Proceeds from the event will benefit oocal food pantries and hunger relief programs.
