Another "Our Blood Institute" drive is just ahead.   Tuesday, Pope County DHS will play host to the  bloodmobile from 12noon to 4.  DHS is located at 701  North Denver/Russellville.  Friday, Kroger/Russellville  will be a donation location from 2-till-6 on West Main  Street.  And, Saturday, donations will be taken on the  Arkansas Tech/Russellville campus in the 3rd floor lobby  of Rothwell Hall from 10 till 2.  Give the "Gift of  Life" and that is blood, at an Our Blood Institute drive  near you soon.

Russellville Kiwanis Club FREE Back 2 School Swim Party! 
Kiwanis is excited to invite all K–12 students to a fun-filled evening to kick off the school year with a splash! Russellville Hickey Pool will be the location, Saturday, August 2 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Come enjoy: Hot Dogs, Snacks, Bottled Water, and a whole lot of FUN.

July 31st is the date for a community "Meet and Greet" for new  Russellville Superintendent Dr. Luke Lovins.  The event is planned  from 4:30 to 6:30 at the Center for the Arts.  Dr. Lovins was  selected by the Russellville Board as the new Superintendent during their April session.

August 4th is the date for the planned Dardanelle Chamber of  Commerce "Back 2 School Breakfast".  That event is planned for 7:15  that morning at the Dardanelle High School Cafeteria.  A number of  area businesses and organizations help support this effort each  year, and additional sponsors are being sought.  Call 699-5246 for  further details.

Breakfast & Big Thanks will kick off the 2025–2026 Russellville school year by welcoming back 800+ educators and staff on August 7th.  Angela Bonds with the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce reminds that area individuals, business and organizations can also be involved and show their support.  Contact the Russellville Chamber of Commerce for further details.  Their number of 968-2530.

River Valley Food 4 Kids is excited to announce Foodstock 2025, the organization's ninth annual community celebration, taking place Saturday, October  4th, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Russellville Depot Park. This  free family festival combines live entertainment,  community fun, and a shared mission to end child hunger  in the Arkansas River Valley.
