July 8th is the date for this year's Danville Area Chamber of Commerce banquet.  The event to be held at the Chamberlyne Country Club, will recognize and honor several individuals and organizations for their efforts over the past year.  The "Chamber Member of the Year" and the Citizen of the Year will also be introduced.  Additional details will be available soon on the Danville Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Russellville's River Valley Arts Center plays host to an Art  and Flowers show thru the month of July.  Submissions Are Open!  A  $10/entry and maximum 3 entries per person!   Coordinators says a July  26th Artist reception is planned; featuring hors d'oeuvres and a silent  auction of the bouquets to raise money for the August Art Camp  supplies!   Follow the River Valley Arts Center Facebook page for  further details.

2025 POPE COUNTY 4-H POULTRY CLINIC... will be at the Pope County Fairgrounds on July 11, 2025, from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Each member is allowed to bring one bird. Danville's new Putt Putt Golf Course is complete and ready for play!! Area residents are invited to "Come on down and play a round on the new course.  Mayor Bill Gilkey reminds that everything you need to play is provided and it is completely free.

A Friday, July 18th date has been set for the 12th Annual "Chocolate Festival" coordinated by the Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce.  This year's theme "Sports, Sweet Victory: One bite at a Time".  Proceeds from the event will benefit local food pantries and hunger relief programs.
