The Arkansas River Valley Bike Festival is just days away!!! October 8th through the 10th Pope and Yell County will feature a variety of event, all centered around the ever growing sport of recreational biking.  Every member of the family will find something to enjoy.  This 3-day bike festival also raises fund for the maintenance and care of the remarkable trails at Mt. Russellville Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for their 2021 edition of the Chamber Classic Golf Tournament. October 15th is the date for the 3-person scramble at Russellville Country Club, and registration is underway.  The event kicks off that day with an 11 a/m lunch and a shotgun start at 12-noon.  Call Misty at 968-2530 for further details.

The Arkansas River Valley Arts Center's "Chili Bowl and Silent Auction" event has been rescheduled for November 13th.  The upcoming event will include a chili dinner donated by Brangus; with a large variety of toppings, adult beverage dessert and a hand-crafted pottery bowl.  A silent auction is also planned that evening.  Get further details at the River Valley Arts Center Facebook page.

The L.V. Williamson Boys and Girls Club of Russellville will play host in early November to the annual "Mistletoe Market, fund raiser for the club.  Set for November 4th and 6th, the effort; in its 14th year, involves a variety of vendors from throughout the valley and across the state.  Christmas gift and decorating ideas will fill the center for the run of the event.  Proceeds from the fund raiser make a difference throughout the year, acting as a foundation for a number of important club projects.  Get further information by going to the "Mistletoe Market" Facebook page...

Augsburg FallFest is right around the corner, and will return for 2021.  Coordinators say the fund raising event will be scaled back though, as a result of Covid-19.  A silent auction will be held on their Facebook page as a part of this year's event, October 2nd through October 7th.  Their traditional German food event will be held October 9th, in a drive-thru format at the church from 4-to-6 p/m.  All proceeds from the festival are equally divided between the Augsburg Food Pantry and the River Valley Christian Clinic.  Get ticket information and other information by calling 747-6676.
