Potts Inn Museum/Pope County Historical Foundation  is getting ready for this year's "Butterfield Day" effort, set  for Saturday, September 21st from 10-till-3 p/m.  Its a free,  family friendly event with museum tours, carriage rides, food,  fun, a car show and more.  Get more details at the Potts Inn  Museum Facebook page.

The 2024 Brass in the Clouds concert, co-sponsored by Mount Nebo  State Park and the ATU Department of Music, will begin at 6:30  p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Mount Nebo's Sunset Point. The  public is invited to attend.  For more information, check  arkansastechnews-dot-com.

Bayliss Rural Fire Station will be the location Tuesday,  September 24th for a public hearing on a community development  block grant proposal.  The meeting's goal is to identify,  prioritize and vote on needs in the Bayliss Township coverage  area.  Area residents are urged to attend the 7 p/m event.

Thursday, Sept. 19th, the Arkansas Tech Russellville campus will play host to guitarist Thu Le, the latest performer in the 2024 John and Trudy Watson Classical Guitar Series. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium. Admission will be free and open to the public.

Church League bowling gets underway for the fall September 19th at Strikers Bowling Alley.  A team meeting is planned for Friday, September 13th at 6:30 that evening.  League bowling runs for 10 weeks, wrapping up November 21st.  Call 968-0877 for further details.

Dardanelle's Veterans Riverfront Park will play host this year to the 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival, Set for September 21st from 2-till-10 p/m. Food, fun, entertainment, community services and a soccer tournament will be just a part of the event.  Mexican and El Salvadorian consulate services will again be on hand at the Dardanelle Library.  September 21st is the date...
