Tuesday, October 8th, Atkins board of education will meet in special session at 4 p/m, pertaining to a student discipline matter.  The District's annual "Report to the Public" is set for 4:45 p/m Tuesday, and their regular October meeting will follow at 5 p/m in their board room.

The Hector superintendent's annual report to the public is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th, at 5:30 in the boardroom. This is a required annual report that shares district demographic information. The report will be posted to the website once the presentation is shared.

Russellville Tourism and Visitor Center   on October 10th at the Ross Pendergraft Library! The event is hosted by Arkansas Tech International Education and the River Valley Arts Center. The evening will be spent learning about Egypt, with an international coffee hour, door prizes from Egypt, and a pyramid cake!

Augsburg Zion Lutheran Church is getting ready for their annual "Fallfest" set for Saturday, October 12th. That day will be filled with good food, fun and fund raising efforts; which benefit the River Valley Christian Clinic and Augsburg Food Pantry.  Hours for the event will be from 10 to 3.  The 17th annual Augsburg Fallfest, check their Facebook page for further details.

Needy Paws Animal Shelter/Clarksville is getting ready for their "Paws for the Cause" event set for October 12th.  The microchip clinic and adoption effort will be held fro 10 a/m to 2 p/m at the shelter on East Main.  Get further details by following Needy Paws Animal Shelter on Facebook.

October 15th is the deadline to pay your real and personal property taxes, without penalty.  A 10% penalty will be charged on any portion not paid by the due date.  Check with your local County Tax Collector for further details.

Dover Public Education Foundation has set October 22nd as the date for their 2024 fundraising gala.  Dover High School Cafeteria will play host to the event, with seating and silent auction viewing to get underway at 6 p/m that evening, and the gala program at 6;30 p/m.  Get further details and ticket information at doverpef-dot-org.
