The Hector Scholarship Foundation is sponsoring its 8th annual Scholarship Gala Saturday, October 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the Hector High School Cafetorium.  The gala will feature guest speakers from previous scholarship recipients, a catered meal, a silent auction, and a live auction.  Proceeds will be used to award scholarships to Hector 2025 seniors. Dover Public Education Foundation has set October 22nd as the date for their 2024 fundraising gala.  Dover High School Cafeteria will play host to the event, with seating and silent auction viewing to get underway at 6 p/m that evening, and the gala program at 6;30 p/m.  Get further details and ticket information at doverpef-dot-org.

The Arkansas High Country Race is coming to Russellville for 2024... The Hector superintendent's annual report to the public is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at 5:30 in the boardroom. This is a required annual report that shares district demographic information. The report will be posted to the website once the presentation is shared.

Russellville Chamber of Commerce's October's First Friday Breakfast is set for October 4th.  Guests from Arkansas Nuclear Voice, will share information about their Department of Energy project. Russellville is one of the communities selected for "consent-based siting" for an interim spent nuclear fuel storage facility.  The event is FREE and open to the public, but registration is required.  Call 968-2530 for further details.
