Girl Scout Cookie Sales

Girl Scout cookie sales have begun here in the River Valley and orders will be taken through the end of January. Boxes are 5 dollars and the proceeds help girl scouts in the area fund trips and other opportunities for growth throughout the year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on-site booth sales will not be taking place, but you can reach out to your local troop via girlscoutdiamonds.org or find Diamonds of Arkansas on Facebook.

Dover Band’s Disc Golf Tournament Fund Raiser

Dover Band is hosting their Inaugural “Cannonball Classic” Disc Golf Tournament, February 27th in Russellville. The tournament will be a doubles format over 36 holes with the first round will taking place at Pleasant View Park and the second round that evening at Old Post Park. Its 40 dollars per team to sign up and the proceeds will help Dover Band with new instruments and scholarships for students. Register your team by finding Cannonball Classic at discgolfscene.com.

RUSSELLVILLE COMMUNITY MARKET

The Russellville Community Market (RCM) is an online farmer’s market operating year-round. Many of the vendors you know and love with traditional markets can still be shopped from with RCM as well. The market is open for ordering Fridays at 12 PM through Sundays at 10 PM, then patrons pick up and pay for their order on Tuesday evenings from 4-8 PM at the Train Depot in Downtown Russellville. (No payment or financial information is submitted online.) Sign up online to become a free member at www.russellville.locallygrown.net and start ordering farm-fresh food for your family this weekend!

 

NEWTON COUNTY SENIOR CENTER MEALS ON WHEELS

With local seniors staying home amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, Meals on Wheels, provided by the Newton County Senior Center, is looking for your support to feed the seniors. They’re asking for your $20 donations to make sure no senior goes hungry. Mail in your support to the Newton County Senior Center, P.O.
